Advertising Strategy

pMarketing is a necessary component of running a business. Most businesses can’t get away from b advertising/b if they want people to know about them and their services or products. There are a number of different techniques or strategies for b advertising/b and again, most companies need to invest in several types of marketing activities in order to be successful. One of the most fun b advertising/b strategies is using promotional items, a give-away or freebies./ppPeople love to get something for free thus promotional items have been a very successful b strategy/b for business owners to use. There are some recommendations for using promotional items so you get the biggest bang for the buck though. For the purposes of this discussion, let’s use promotional mugs as the example./ppWhen thinking about mugs, be sure to think about how they can advertise your business to the community because they really can do that! How can they be an advertisement in the community, you say? Think about this. How many time have you been on the little league soccer or football field on an early Saturday morning where you saw people drinking from warm mugs of coffee they brought from home?/ppIf you haven’t notice, be sure and look around the next time you are there. Many of the mugs people will be drinking from are promotional mugs they received as a freebie at one time or another. When people are talking to each other at these sporting events, they are looking at and reading about the company that gave the mug away. This is free b advertising/b in operation./ppNow think about how many times you have gone into someone’s office only to see them drinking from a mug. How many times have you ridden into work on a bus or train and seen people drinking from ones b advertising/b the business from which they received the mug. One more example of free b advertising/b, is when you see people in meetings or conferences, they often will be carrying their favorite mug thus b advertising/b for the company that gave it to them./ppSo, now that it is decided that promotional mugs do get around, it is now time to think about what to have printed on them so they do the best marketing possible. The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about printing is having the name and logo of the company printed on the mugs. It is also important to think about whether you want to have any graphics, other than the logo./ppSometimes people are quite pleased with promotional mugs that have a great printed saying or quote. Others like to have a cartoon or joke that fits the products they sell. Still others like ones that have floral designs or pictures of animals etc. Thinking about what you want to have printed on yours is important because you want to draw attention to your mugs so people learn about your business./ppYou will be able to select your own graphics, quotes, saying, cartoon and pictures so, be ready when you start to make your selection that you know what you want.
